Silence
A bride to be retreats to her childhood room just before her wedding, shaken by a quiet sense of doubt, where she’s visited by her brother she lost at war. Through their familiar teasing and shared love of music, he gently comforts her, bringing back the ease of their old dynamic. But just as she begins to feel his presence again, he is gone, and she forced to face her grief and accept that this next chapter of her life must continue without him.

The Venting Machine
An aspiring writer who has always been the one to listen to others’ problems comes up with the idea of a “venting machine,” offering strangers a place to unload their thoughts for a small price. As the concept takes off, people begin lining up, not just for the machine, but for the unexpected connections they form with each other while waiting. Realizing she’s no longer needed as the listener, she joins the line herself and discovers that true relief doesn’t come from a transaction, but from shared human connection, and from finally allowing herself to be heard.
